For more than ten years, Perci has served as a strong advocate for suicide prevention, substance abuse, and addiction, devoting her time to the Native American Center for Excellence Substance Abuse Prevention Program as a facilitator for the Gathering of Native Americans (GONA). Perci is associated with the Voices of the Grandmothers, which consists of Indigenous grandmothers from all over the world, whose purpose is to share traditional beliefs and stories reflecting a holistic existence of life.

Perci received the Women’s Federation for World Peace USA, Her Story Award, honoring her exemplary work of serving, healing, educating, and uplifting others in the Native American communities. She also received the Marcus Harrison Jr. Leadership Award for her tireless efforts in advocating for Indigenous peoples with disabilities.

Perci played the lead actress role of Daisy, in the newly released film, “Touch the Water” (2023), which is a movie about the mental, emotional, and physical challenges faced as an elderly Native American woman who desires to accomplish a lifelong goal, which ends up being a life-changing journey, as Daisy is challenged to believe she is never too old to dream.

Perci utilizes her values of culture, traditions, and family in her peace work, helping Indigenous people connect and focus on healing the mind, body, and spirit. Anthony Goulet is a transformational author and speaker whose writing and work in youth violence and suicide prevention is endorsed by the Dalai Lama and other leaders.

Anthony has been working in youth development for more than 30 years. For more than a decade he was on-call 24/7 as a street-level Gang Interventionist and Street Outreach Worker, serving youth and young adults who were homeless, runaways, missing and trafficked. His full-time office was under bridges, within drug houses, abandoned buildings, and inside emergency rooms delivering the Creator's light of love, hope and healing.

Anthony's books have been nominated for USA book of the year, utilized by actor/author Hill Harper's Manifest Your Destiny Foundation as guides for youth mentors, and are endorsed by national leaders in youth violence prevention, parenting and personal transformation.

Anthony's lived experience provides him with keen insight and compassion which he generously shares to strengthen the connection of our shared humanity. With over 30 years of experience as a street-level Gang Interventionist, Street Outreach Worker, Substance Abuse Counselor and Martial Arts Instructor, he understands how to navigate through adversity and transform poisons (toxic thought patterns) into healing medicines, so we successfully take the journey from our heads back to our hearts and reclaim our vision, mission, dreams and purpose.

Life-Invention Suicide Prevention is facilitated by Hopi elder, Pershlie “Perci” Ami, and Street Outreach Worker, Anthony Goulet, in conjunction with their book, Broken Home, Healed Nest.

Broken Home, Healed Nest is an Indigenous/Wholistic story of suicide prevention and intervention.

Life-Invention Suicide Prevention is a three-day training designed to reduce suicide rates in Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities, through wholistic and trauma-informed exercises, interactions, and education.

The sacred time of grief

Perci and Anthony facilitate a workshop where participants are guided in how to use times of grief in a sacred manner. When times of grief are used in a sacred way, we allow the best of our loved ones who have passed on to live through us, as we shed the pain of missing them in ways that are constructive not destructive.

Writing our Way Back to Healing

Authors Pershlie "Perci" Ami and Anthony Goulet facilitate writing workshops for people of all ages. Writing Our Way Back to Healing supports participants in returning to our true voice, the voice of healing and empowerment within us. This writing workshop ignites creativity through guiding participants back to their hearts, where the unfolding of countless stories and poems awaits our return.

Youth Mental Health First Aid

Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.

Youth Mental Health First Aid is primarily designed for adults who regularly interact with young people. The course introduces common mental health challenges for youth, reviews typical adolescent development, and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations.

Topics covered include anxiety, depression, substance use, disorders in which psychosis may occur, disruptive behavior disorders (including AD/HD), and eating disorders.

Men's Healing Workshops

For many years Anthony Goulet led programs for prisoner reentry, substance use/abuse, gang intervention and fatherhood. One thing you learn quickly in facilitating programs like these, especially when you are facilitating GA (gangster anonymous) groups, which Anthony did, is that men bond rather quickly.

You also learn that men are ready to break the three rules that exist in all unhealthy relationships: 1. Don't talk. 2. Don't tell. 3. Don't feel. Yes, men are ready to talk, tell and feel as long as there is an inviting, safe space to do so. Anthony delivers this inviting, safe space to communities with the Men's Healing Workshop.

The Men's Healing Workshops are designed for men from 14 years old and up (young men ages 14-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian). The day is filled with deep work, mindfulness breaks, laughter, healthy movement, great food, new connections and renewed personal contracts.

We teach and learn together. No one is unreachable or unteachable as long as the heart doing the reaching and teaching is full of love, respect and honor.

Let's reclaim our rightly deserved personal and intergenerational healing together. We are worth it!

Begin With Peace: Trauma-Informed Gang Prevention and Intervention

This unique gang prevention and intervention training focuses on the causes of gang affiliation and its effects on young people.

While most gang training focuses on gang identifiers and law enforcement techniques designed to mitigate criminal gang activity, Begin with Peace focuses on developing an understanding of youth who are affiliated with gangs so that service providers are empowered to see and support the youth as sacred blessings, miracles and gifts, not gang members.

Begin with Peace gives participants the necessary tools and insights to successfully facilitate healing that transforms the thinking and lives of our youth. No one is unreachable or unteachable, as long as the heart doing the reaching and teaching is full of love, compassion, respect, honor and peace.

Some key points within this powerful training are: • Strength-Based Approaches to Gang Intervention and Prevention • How to Transform Poisons (toxic thought patterns) to Healing Medicines with Gang Affiliated Youth • Why/How Care & Identity Approaches Work • Knowing & Transforming Community Factors that Contribute to Gang Affiliation • How to Meet Unmet Needs • Moving Beyond Youth Compliance and into Youth Transformation • How to Turn Risk Factors for Gang Involvement into Protective Factors • Cultural Awareness • Facilitating Post-Traumatic Growth • Resiliency Building • Mediation • Crisis Intervention • Appreciative Inquiry • Outreach

Trust-Based Relational Intervention

Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) is a holistic model for helping children overcome social, behavioral and emotional challenges brought on by trauma.

Trauma can include many things, from abuse and neglect to a single event such as a difficult birth or a natural disaster. These factors can cause changes in children’s bodies, brains, behaviors and belief systems, often making it difficult for them to trust the loving adults in their lives, and resulting in perplexing behaviors.

TBRI is built on decades of research in attachment theory, sensory processing and neuroscience. It offers practical strategies to help the whole child, so they can build fulfilling lives after trauma:

  • Empowering principles to address their physical needs
  • Connecting principles to establish and restore healthy relationships they can depend on
  • Correcting principles to disarm their fear-based behaviors
